Sign in with Apple, Google or your email. The app opens a secure page from windshieldweather.com to do it, and that is deliberate.

Choose a way to sign in

Windshield Weather needs an account; there is no signed-out mode. The same account works on every device and on the web. There are four ways in:

  • Continue with Apple — uses your Apple Account. Hide My Email works too.
  • Continue with Google — uses your Google account.
  • Email and a password — at least eight characters.
  • Email and a code — choose Email me a code instead on the password step, and type the six-digit code we send you. A code works for ten minutes.

Use the same way each time. Signing in with Google on an account you created with your email does not join the two: you would be asked to sign in the usual way first and connect Google afterwards, in Sign-in methods.

Sign in on your device

  1. Go to windshieldweather.com and choose Sign in

Or open windshieldweather.com/app, which sends you to sign in first.

  2. Choose Apple, Google or email

When you are in, the page says “You are in.” Choose OPEN WINDSHIELD WEATHER to go to the planner.

New to Windshield Weather

On the email step, enter your address and choose CONTINUE. If there is no account for it yet, choose New here? Create an account, pick a password of at least eight characters, and enter the six-digit code we email you to confirm the address.

Why it opens a browser page

Signing in happens on one secure page at windshieldweather.com, shown in your system’s own sign-in window rather than a form inside the app. That keeps your password away from the app, lets Apple and Google sign-in work the way they do everywhere else, and means a second device is often a single tap, because the sign-in window remembers you.

On a second device

Sign in the same way on each device. Your account, your privacy choices and your drives are the same everywhere.

If signing in does not work, I cannot sign in goes through each message you might see.
