Units

One setting covers distance, temperature and speed together: miles, °F and mph, or kilometres, °C and km/h. Every number in the app follows it, and so does the briefing.

SETTINGS › Units: Match this device, Miles and Fahrenheit or Kilometres and Celsius. Match this device, where the planner starts, follows the region of your browser’s language.

Clock

Settings › Clock: 24-hour or 12-hour — 06:45 MST or 6:45 AM MST. Times always carry their zone. iPhone, iPad, Mac and Android start with a 24-hour clock until you choose. The web also offers Match this device, its initial choice, which follows the browser’s clock.

Language

The apps speak your device’s language: English, Brazilian Portuguese, or French as written in France or in Canada. There is no language list inside the app — the Language row in Settings opens your system’s own setting for the app:

  • iPhone and iPad: the Settings app › Windshield Weather › Language.
  • Mac: System Settings › General › Language & Region.
  • Android 13 and later: the app’s language in Android settings. On older versions, change the phone’s language.

The website has a language dropdown at the foot of every page, and the web planner has a Language setting under SETTINGS. Languages covers the briefing, emails and the rest.

Kept with your account

The units and clock you choose are saved with your account, with your map style and layers, so they follow you to every device where you sign in. Android keeps explicit choices when reopened. The web’s Match this device choice uses each device’s own settings. Language stays with each device and browser.

Notifications

Settings → Notifications contains Quiet hours, on by default. It pauses routine drive alerts from 22:00 to 07:00 in the time zone saved when you enable each drive’s alerts. Turn it off to receive routine updates overnight. This setting applies to every drive and device on your account; changing it does not enable alerts or request push permission. Imminent travel updates and urgent warnings may still arrive during quiet hours. Device Focus and Do Not Disturb always apply.
