The quick choices
03 LEAVING sets your departure. The whole forecast hangs on it: every section is forecast for your departure time plus the driving time to reach it. The quick choices differ by device.
Now, In 1 hour or Tomorrow, which means tomorrow at 06:00. The row under them reads back your choice, such as “Tomorrow · 06:00”. Now keeps up with the clock while the form is open.

Why seven days
A forecast for one hour in one place stops being worth acting on beyond about a week, so the app does not offer a departure further out. Within the week, the further ahead a section is, the more its forecast can change: the last section of a long drive planned days ahead is the one most likely to be different when you get there.
Your time zone, and theirs
You choose the departure in your device’s time zone. After that, every time in the drive is the local time where you will be, with its zone — the arrival is on the destination’s clock. Local and elapsed time explains how that reads.
Change the departure of a planned drive
- Android: open the drive’s actions and choose Copy into a new plan. This opens an editable draft and keeps the original drive. A future departure stays unchanged; a past departure advances by calendar days until it is in the future, preserving its local clock time. Placed stops move by the same elapsed interval, including across clock changes. Undo restores the draft that the copy replaced, even if you edited the copy. The new drive is saved when you plan it.
- iPhone, iPad, Mac and the web: open the drive’s menu (•••) and choose Copy into a new plan, then change 03 LEAVING. On iPhone, iPad and Mac, a departure that has already passed moves forward a day at a time, and the app says so.
Moving stops with departure on Android
Copying an Android drive into a new plan at another time also moves every stop placed on its timeline by the same interval. A destination’s set arrival remains a local-clock instruction, and the new forecast plans the drive around it. The copy keeps the drive’s stop plan.
If a chosen departure passes, the form asks you to choose a time within the next seven days. Choose Now or a new future time to continue.
On Android, the copy’s Undo expires when its message closes or you leave the planner; your edited draft stays in place.
